Mad Tea Party Albums
ZOMBIE BOOGIE is a collectible 33 rpm 7” vinyl EP with an artistic, disturbing letterpress cover created at Hand-cranked Letterpress. The four tracks on the EP capture Jason Krekel (guitar, drums) and Ami Worthen (ukulele, guitar) at their most raw and rockin’. With two original songs and two obscure covers, ZOMBIE BOOGIE is certain to get you in the mood for the Halloween season. Brave souls who dare to purchase the vinyl record also receive a download card to get mp3s of all four songs, plus a surprise bonus song! The time has come for some crazy, chilling uke-abilly music. Whose That Records.
Rue Morgue Magazine wrote, "North Carolina's Jason Krekel (fiddle and guitar) and Ami Worthen (electric ukulele) might actually be the world's first ukulele power duo. Inspired by goth, old-timey folk and the slimy surf-punk vibe of the Cramps, they've created ZOMBIE BOOGIE, a twangy honky-tonk tune about a new dance craze that has the undead boppin' to the beat of a kick drum, amplified ukulele and juke-joint guitar."

Found a Reason is Mad Tea Party's juke-joint shakedown. "Worthen jump-starts the beat on soprano ukulele while ace musician Krekel fortifies the groove on electric guitar, plus two drums and a cymbal he plays with pedals. The results will have listeners up and dancing" (WNC Magazine). Southeast Performer describes the album as, "B-52s meets Buddy Holly with a lot more thump." Of course, there are quieter moments as well, and a few songs with Ami on acoustic guitar and Jason on fiddle. Recorded at Electromagnetic Radiation Recorders. Nine Mile Records.
